I remember seeing "Pure Country" as a kid & I also remember wanting to produce a soundtrack. Well, this little gem comes out today and I was fortunate enough to produce 7 tracks on the album ...I even play the voice of the Dad in the film. So thankful to all the people involved in the making of it and for letting me hear Willie Nelson through my own studio speakers! :)

The influence and impact this true songwriter has in my life is beyond words. She is easily one of the greatest masters of the craft and still carries herself with humility. This is the very first single from Natalie Hemby & one of the biggest honors in my career as a songwriter to have written it with her. Congrats to my friend and to her fans who have waited years to hear that voice in their stereos!

New Jacob Whitesides album out today. I got to write on the track "Heartbeat" and tried to sharpen my pop chops. I still can't get the "smoldering" look down but this kids got it.

Looking forward to playing this new album atPilgrimage Music Festival in a couple of weeks! We play September 24th at Harpeth River stage at 12:55. Get your passes and come on out!
